Jazz festival exhibition at Wangaratta Museum

It’s jazz time again, and the Wangaratta Historical Society and Museum is gearing up for its second exhibition to be held over the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and Blues.

This year, the focus will not only include a display of jazz festival memorabilia but also a glimpse into the music scene in Wangaratta and its surrounds from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.

Local jazz musician John Bisignano and Tim Dickinson, owner of Disclocation Music Shop, will share their stories through images and objects, highlighting their involvement.

The exhibition will officially open on Wednesday, 29 October at the museum at 6pm, with drinks and nibbles available and all welcome.

The museum, located in the old fire station in Ford Street, will be open daily over the jazz festival from 10am to 1pm, from Thursday, 30 October, through to Tuesday, 4 November.
