Two women have been found dead at an isolated hiking area near Mt Bogong.
Victoria Police said the deaths of the women, believed to be in their 20s to 30s, appear at this stage to be non-suspicious.
Emergency services were first called following reports two bodies had been found at Lendenfeld Point around 12.50pm on Friday, 3 October.
Police said two hikers came across the scene near Cleve Cole Hut and called Triple Zero (000).
Uniform police officers, along with the Search and Rescue Squad and Air Wing, responded and made their way to the isolated scene on Friday and spent the night camped at the area.

At this stage the identity of the women is not known but it appears the pair may have been in the area to hike and camp.
Cleve Cole Hut and the adjacent camping area amongst stunted snow gums and grasslands in the Alpine National Park has an altitude of 1760 metres is a destination point for many hikers on their way to Mt Bogong in both in summer and winter.
The hut and camping area is about four kilometres from Mt Bogong.
Weather conditions at Mt Bogong on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday saw temperatures range from three to 10 degrees with several millimetres of rainfall on Wednesday and Thursday.
Police are appealing for information from the public to assist in identifying those involved as they are not aware of any current missing person reports.
It is expected the bodies will be removed from the scene today.
