The mystery thriller High Country will return to the small screen in 2026, with filming once again set against the backdrop of Jamieson, Mansfield and the alpine landscapes that inspired the series’ title.
The Foxtel Group, VicScreen and Screen Australia this week confirmed the renewal of the BINGE original series for an eight-part second season.
Produced by Sony Pictures Television’s Curio Pictures, the show will again feature award-winning actor Leah Purcell AM in the lead role of Sergeant Andie Whitford.
Purcell’s character, a country police officer stationed in Victoria’s High Country, will be drawn into a case “far bigger than she ever imagined” in the new storyline.
Production will return to Jamieson, Mansfield, Eildon and greater Melbourne, with cameras scheduled to roll in November.
