When Australian Pump Industries made the Aussie Sizzler hot wash machine, they changed the way people think about high pressure hot wash systems.
The Aussie Sizzler, aptly named, is an 1800 PSI pressure cleaner with a maximum temperature of 80°C.
That temperature is ideal for cleaning machinery and is a real bargain for dairy farmers.
The machine is compact, mounted on a steel chassis with four wheels with flat-free tyres.
The heart of the machine is a heavy duty Triplex pump running at four pole slow speed off an air-cooled motor, protected by a thermal cut out.

“Having a slow speed pump and motor is a big advantage that you normally only find in larger more expensive machines.
"We set out to make a machine that would be cost effective but loaded with features and capable of easy one man (or woman) operation," said Aussie Pumps Chief Engineer, John Hales.
The company was tempted to go for higher temperatures but realized that 80°C is an adequate cleaning capability without stressing the ‘hot’ components for the boiler system.
Even so, with 80°C, the team at Aussie still recommend that operators should run the machine five minutes on cold before turning on hot and, do the reverse after the cleaning task is done.
“By that we mean run the machine on cold for a few minutes before you turn it off to make sure the coil has a chance to cool down before switch off," said Hales.
The hot wash comprises a low maintenance stainless steel boiler with high efficiency and with low diesel fuel consumption.
The coil itself is a double loop mild steel version with a new stainless-steel configuration coming out early in 2026.
The diesel fuel tank is 18L and manufactured from high density polypropylene.
Control functions are in line with Aussie Pumps safety standards and consist of the following:
1. Delayed Total Stop (stops the machine for 30 seconds after the gun trigger closes)
2. Micro Leak Detection (stops the machine in case of leaks in the hydraulic circuit)
3. Nozzle Clog Control (stops the machine if the nozzle at the end of the lance is blocked)
4. Flooding Prevention System
5. Intelligent Auto Switch-off (switches the machine off after 20 minutes of non-use)
6. Dry Running Protection (stops the machine when no water is supplied
7. Ignition Boiler Delay (ensures low fume emission when the boiler starts
Even with all those points covered, the machines are very competitively priced and have been selling like ‘hotcakes’.
The Sizzler itself is covered by a 12 month warranty and the accessories include eight meter R2 Wire Braid Hose (3/8”), a professional gun, Aussie’s AL55 model plus a 700mm stainless steel single lance with laser-cut nozzle.
AUSSIE LISTENS TO FARMERS
“Our range of hot wash machines is extensive but the Sizzler keeps selling out," Hales said.
“The machine even looks smart with its stainless steel cover and, for hire companies, construction or earth moving contractors, we also offer it with a stainless steel protection frame to guard the machine from misadventures.
NEW ACCESSSORIES
A 4000 PSI Hose Reel Kit comprising stainless steel reel with mounting arrangement, and 30 meters of 3/8 R2 Aussie Blue-Pro Hose is a popular option.
The hose assembly is rated to 130°C, and the hose reel kit comes with a 1.3 meter whip hose.
“It’s an easy wall fit or wash bay attachment that provides the operator with up to 60 meters of range i.e. 30 meters left or right,” said Hales.
The machines also can be supplied with a turbo that turns this little 240 volt 2.2KW four-pole motor machine into an essential piece of kit.
“Cold pressure washing is our specialty with a complete range of machines right up to 500 bar (7300 PSI).
"We don’t do hot wash machines in that kind of pressure but we do offer a 4000 PSI heavy duty steam cleaner, the Aussie Admiral 4000, the choice of earth moving contractors for any application, including food processing where fast high pressure cleaning is required.
