Police are currently responding to an incident at a property in Porepunkah where there are reports that a police member has been wounded.
The Age online posted a story at 11.41am reporting "one officer was shot in the thigh while serving a warrant at the property on Tuesday morning".
"Two officers are also unaccounted for," the report read.
"Heavily armed officers from the Special Operations Group are on route to the scene near the base of Mount Beauty in Victoria’s alpine region.
"Locals reported multiple police cars and an ambulance speeding towards Bright with lights and sirens on."

Victoria Police confirmed with the Wangaratta Chronicle at 12 noon that "police are currently at a property in Porepunkah".
"This is still an active incident and we will provide more information when it's operationally safe to do so," a police spokesperson said.
"We ask people avoid the area."
