Upper Murray Field Days back on the calendar

THE inaugural Upper Murray Agricultural Field Days were held at Corryong last month as part of the annual Man From Snowy River Bush Festival (MFSRBF).

The event brought together agricultural professionals, suppliers, local leaders and youth, with new farming enterprises, machinery and equipment, together with stallholders.

Conducted on the former Corryong Consolidated School site, the Field Days comprised a host of exhibitors displaying and showcasing a diverse range of products and services available within the Upper Murray.

Major sponsors were Mt Beauty and District Community Bank, and Foundation for Regional Rural Renewal, along with McGregor Machinery, Agriprove Soil Carbon Solutions, Zoetis Animal Health and HVP Plantations.

The MFSRBF board partnered with Towong Shire Council and Bushfire Recovery Victoria to host a 'recharge and reconnect' tent with partner agencies at the Field Days.

MFSRBF manager Jennifer Boardman said the last couple of years had been tough on the Upper Murray farming and agricultural business sector.

"It takes strength and resilience to keep going after such trying times and this stand provided lots of information to support wellbeing," she said.
