The big day out for Victorian farming

THE Seymour Alternative Farming Expo has become a key event in the Victorian farming calendar and the 2022 event was no different, with an estimated 20,000 people walking through the gates.

Once again there was everything from tractors and classic cars on display, pavilions for arts and crafts, and livestock, working dogs, whip cracking and wood chopping – while for foodies, the country kitchen and butcher shop with cooking and meat preparation demonstrations was on fire.

The event has also proved to be a popular social day out for people of all ages and provides a welcome $6 million injection into the local economy annually.
