North East Water has appointed two new directors to its board, following an independent selection panel process.

Catherine Goss and Allison Jenvey join continuing directors Stephen Brown (chair), Jennifer Fraser, Jonathan Green, Leanne Mulcahy, John Murray, Victoria Schmidt (deputy chair) and Angela Verde.

Mr Brown said the organisation is excited to welcome Catherine and Allison, who bring a wealth of experience that will benefit North East Water, the region, and most importantly, customers.

“We’re also delighted to see Jennifer, Leanne and Jonathan reappointed for a second term,” he said.

“Their continued involvement provides valuable stability and deep experience to the board.”

Mr Brown also acknowledged the success of North East Water’s Aboriginal Delegate Program, which continues to evolve.

“It’s fantastic to see Johnny Murray’s appointment during the last term, and now Shayne Rodgers being appointed to the board of North Central Catchment Management Authority.

"This is a testament to the strength and impact of the program.”

New director Catherine Goss said she is looking forward to contributing to regional communities through her role.

“Having recently moved to regional Victoria with my partner, I’m excited to extend my governance experience and help support healthy, vibrant communities,” she said.

The corporation is currently preparing its next price submission, which includes a capital investment program of approximately $280 million over the upcoming pricing period.

“Our new directors will bring additional expertise to help shape our business as we move through this important phase,” Mr Brown said.

He also extended his gratitude to outgoing board members Rosemary Bisset and Cris Topfner-Rigby, acknowledging their valuable contributions over the past several years.

Ms Jenvey is a retired public practice accountant who has acted for many businesses across the region.

She brings a strong governance background, having served on regional boards for many years.

Ms Jenvey currently chairs the boards of BankWAW, Wodonga TAFE and the Victorian TAFE Association.

Catherine Goss is a chartered accountant with over 20 years’ experience in practice and the financial services industry.
