Wangaratta Wesleyan Methodist Church is celebrating Seniors’ Month by hosting a free high tea for local seniors.
The Golden Moments High Tea is a great opportunity to reminisce, sing some of the classics, and spend time in fellowship.
With a selection of experienced speakers, including reverend Alan Akers and former aged care chaplain Ruth Prentice, the discussion will revolve around the joys and challenges of getting older, and enable attendees the chance to ask questions and discuss their own personal experiences of ageing, faith and life.
Associate pastor, reverend Ange Van Der Leeuw, said that the high tea is a great way to bring people together who are at a similar stage of life.
“There are many new questions and challenges that come with ageing, and they are often shared by others who are at the same stage of their life,” she said.
“We are honoured to provide this opportunity for our community, enabling our seniors to come together with other seniors, and share the knowledge of our speakers.”
The event will be held on Tuesday, 28 October from 2-4pm at the Wangaratta Wesleyan Methodist Church, corner of Great Alpine Road and Parfitt Road.
RSVP by Friday, 24 October to 5722 2233 or office@wesleyanwangaratta.org.au.
