It’s that time of the year again, when we start to see your 12 photos in the Wangaratta Chronicle.

While this can feel stressful, trust us when we say it’s only a small part of your life.

In the coming years you get to make some of the most important relationships of your life, have your biggest adventures and create more memories as you grow.

That being said, cherish this time and don’t try to grow up too fast, it goes by in the blink of an eye.

We see on page 2 that 50 years happens quicker than you think, then you’ll be gathering with your cohort reminiscing on when you were this age and the fun you had.

If you’re relaxed, calm and take your time, you will perform better than if you’re a ball of knots stressing over your ATAR.

And parents, we know this is a stressful time for you as well, but please try not to add to the pressure.

This is a significant milestone for you and your child, so slow down and take it in, your baby is growing up.

So remember enjoy this chapter, there are many more to come and there is no need to rush through this one to get to the next.

Remember, success isn’t just measured in scores, but in growth, kindness and resilience.

Celebrate the little wins, the friendships and the laughter between study sessions, as this season draws to a close take these memories to heart and know there are still many more for you to make.

In the words of Dr Seuss, “Oh, the places you’ll go. You’re off to great places, today is your day.”
