Come and explore a green oasis when Les and Rosemary Bolitho host an open garden fundraising event at Sable Park this weekend Wangaratta.

Spread over five acres, the garden features more than 700 roses, an extensive iris display, an array of colourful annual and perennial flowering plants and shrubs and majestic mature trees.

Visitors can stroll along the boardwalk at Willows Pond and admire new plantings and see the stunning mandala sculpture by Sam Anderson.

There will also be Devonshire teas prepared by Carevan volunteers, a display of Sam Anderson's metal sculptures, a showcase of classic cars, limited-edition Sable Park calendars for sale ($20 each) and raffles hosted by Inner Wheel.

Sable Park is located at 185 Lindner Road in Wangaratta and will be open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, 25 October and Sunday, 26 October, and it is wheelchair accessible, with seating and toilets on site.

Entry is $10 with all proceeds going to Carevan Wangaratta; a volunteer-run, community-funded organisation providing free, nutritious meals to those in need in Apex Park from Monday to Thursday.
