THE Strathbogie Ranges turned on their most radiant of natural shows for a group of gifted artists from the Watercolour Society of Victoria, who visited Euroa over the weekend of 2-5 May for its country ‘paint away’.
Using Euroa as a base, the group was treated to a pantheon of epic images to depict in their beloved watercolours - rural landscapes of the amazing Strathbogie Ranges, gorgeous historic buildings, and unashamed crumbling relics - all bathed in beautiful northeast Victorian sunshine.
The society’s flag proudly welcomed members in Sevens Creek Park on Friday evening, with Saturday seeing the members visit Polly McQuinn’s Waterhole where a treasure of painting opportunities awaited them.
The venture then continued a little further into the ranges to paint the tiny town of Strathbogie.
The day ended at the Coach House dinner at Seven Creeks Hotel, where the table could barely fit the party of 30.
