As the spring racing season starts to warm up and as part of the traditional tour around the country, the Melbourne Cup landed in Nagambie on Monday 9 September and then Binney Street, Euroa the next day.
All eyes were on the 3.8kg trophy, with selected locals donning the white gloves to pose for photos.
The cup is made from 18 carrot gold and is worth a hefty $750,000.
This year's tour started in New York City on 5 June and touched down in Griffith in NSW two weeks later from where it has traversed the country.
The race that stops the nation will run on Tuesday 4 November at Flemington Racecourse.
