Regional farmers will have the opportunity to put their soil under the microscope in October with an internationally renowned soil microbial expert.
Albury-Wodonga-based and family-owned business NutriSoil will be hosting the event on Thursday 16 October, and welcome all farmers to attend the informative and educational day with special guest Phill Lee.
NutriSoil director Nakala Maddock said she was thrilled to secure the expertise of Mr Lee, who is not only a pioneering regenerative farmer, but also a leading microscopic soil analyst.
“Phill is recognised globally as a leader in his field and has recently returned from India, where he was involved in a Natural Farming project that produced outstanding results, not just in terms of food production, but also positive cultural and social outcomes,” Mrs Maddock said.
Farmers will have the opportunity to learn more about life under the soil with Mr Lee also providing insights into the magic of green covers to support soil life and sharing practical and cost-effective options to build farm resilience.

“These are really important topics for farmers to increase their knowledge in, to ensure they are equipped for the challenges of modern agriculture,” Mrs Maddock said.
She said the event would take place at the NutriSoil farm in Baranduda, and that Phil would be lifting the lid on the life under the soil and encouraged everyone to bring a small soil sample with them.
